BURBANK ART ASSOCIATION
Encouraging creativity in visual arts and serving the community since 1950.
The Burbank Art Association is a non-profit, volunteer artist organization. Membership is open to anyone interested in the myriad forms of visual art or in the advancement and understanding of cultural arts.
Burbank Art Association (BAA) is a recognized IRS 501(c)(3) charity (Tax ID #83-2720603). Donations are tax deductible in accordance with IRS requirements.
BAA holds meetings and exhibits to stimulate and encourage creative expression and showcase the talent of its membership. Artists of all skill levels are welcome to join. Meetings are about sharing of artwork, opportunities and ideas; of meaningful, supportive fellowship; and of educational demonstrations in a variety of mediums. Guests are welcome. Meetings are held every third Wednesday of the months September to June (unless otherwise announced), from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Administrative Services Building located at 301 E. Olive, Room 102, in Burbank, California.
Parking and entrance on the side of building on Olive Ave. Meetings commence at 7:00 p.m. (refer to monthly Newsletter or website for any changes). Guests and visitors are welcome for a requested donation of $5.00.
ANNUAL DUES can be paid on-line using the web site's credit card system; mailed to Burbank Art Association, P.O. Box 1013, Burbank CA 91507-1013; or paid at the first meeting in Sept. For more information, contact the President or Membership Chairperson.
PROGRAM: Following the business meeting, programs include a demonstration by a guest artist or presenter in his/her preferred medium or other forms of art that would be of interest to the members of the Association.
TWICE-YEARLY EXHIBITS: For members in good standing, i.e., dues paid for full year. All members are encouraged to participate in the Fall and Spring shows. See BAA Handbook for show rules (available on our website).
OUTSIDE EXHIBITS: Locations in the City of Burbank and surrounding areas are available for Association member artists to display and/or sell their art work. A 10% commission on sales is due to the Association.
SOLO EXHIBITS: Individual member artists may have solo exhibits at the GEO Gallery to show their work. Contact the Exhibits Chair at exhibits1@burbankartassociation.org for information.
The Association encourages beginners through advanced artists to continue their studies. Information about local teachers, classes and workshops will be available for those who are interested.
In consideration of applicant’s admission to membership in the Burbank Art Association, applicant hereby agrees to the constitution and by-laws of said organization, and to all amendments and BAA show rules (copy is available at meetings) as outlined in the Membership Roster. Applicant further agrees to release the Burbank Art Association of any and all responsibility in case of fire, theft or any other damage to his/her property while in the hands of said Association for exhibition purposes.
